CYCPLUS e-pump better than Co2 or mini pump???
Welcome, to the battle of the blowers, the ultimate pump-off!
How many CO2 cartridges will it take, will the electric pump run out battery?
Will the mini pump cause irreparable muscle damage?
So sit back, relax, and let's get ready to inflate those expectations as we dive into the wacky, wonderful world of bicycle pumps!
Will it be the sleek and stylish mini pump? Or will the trusty old Co2 cartridge reign supreme? Maybe, just maybe, the dark horse, the electric mini pump will emerge victorious, leaving all others deflated.

Переглядів 18 тис.Місяць тому
5 years ago I rode parts of the Arizona trail around Tucson for the first time. 5 years ago I started dreaming about bike packing the Arizona trail. 5 years ago I was 47 years old 5 years ago I started asking friends if they wanted to ride the trail with me. I am 52 now, I am not going to wait anymore. I am going to ride it alone.. Ravemen lights:amzn.to/3UG8xtk Aeroe Racks:aeroe.com/ amzn.to/4...

CONTACT - How do you deal with another cyclist bumping into you and how can you avoid crashing? If you are into riding with others, like group rides, Fondos, gravel events or races, then this is the one skill you might want to practice. So why is bumping bars so scary? If you look at a drop bar bike from above you can clearly see that the open end looks like a hook. Now if you add another bike ...

Yes, Get off The Road!! Highways are not bike tracks! Stay on dedicated bike lanes and tracks!! There was a man killed on a highway a few hours away from where I live a few weeks ago riding on a highway. Hit by 2 cars. There is no room for cars or trucks to go past you safely if there is oncoming traffic. Plus, it is dangerous forcing drivers to go over to the otherside of the road. I drive a 60 meter road train here in Western Australia that weighs in excess of 200 tons and I can't just slow down or move over all of a sudden when there is a cyclist on the road. Not only are cyclists putting themselves in incredible danger they are putting the lives of other road uses at risk. The unfortunate people who hit that guy riding on the highway here the other week will have to live with that trauma for the rest of their lives! Think before you ride, and please, ride safe!!!!

Did you just say “the unfortunate people that hit the cyclist” ???? Yes, the motorists are the real victims in your story. This world is upside down, but maybe that’s because you’re in Australia.

The best bike is the bike you already own, I needed that. Friends don't let friends buy bikes on credit. I wish I knew that before buying my current bike. Luckily, it's paid off now.

While being aware of your surroundings is a good thing, what is the purpose of looking behind you, other than when you are crossing a lane? Looking at a car passing you risks you swerving into it path, or hitting something in the road in front of you. Even with cyclists, the passing vehicle has all the responsibility and control to pass safely. The person in front's responsibility is to hold a predictable line. As for continuing to pedal with a dropped chain, there is a considerable risk of damaging your paint, frame, and bike drive components if the chain jams. I'd much rather get my hands dirty with grease, which can be wiped off, than to cause permanent damage to my bike.

Just a quick comment on neck turning. If you cycle a lot--like I do--you may develop tightness and/or pain in your neck and shoulders and lower back. It's just inevitable due to the unnatural riding position--and a few crashes never help. I had a pain so bad that I couldn't turn to the left to look over my shoulder--so I got in the habit of turning RIGHT--much farther than I would need to turn to the left--to look behind me. And I did that for years. But then a while back I developed a pretty bad paint in my shoulder and started getting weekly deep tissue massage treatments from a sports injury specialist. And up front he checked me out and asked me questions and we discussed my various neck and back pains... from cycling... and we worked those areas into my 30-min weekly deep tissue sessions. And guess what? We quickly discovered that my shoulder issue was NOT muscle related... but the neck and back pains and overall tightness WERE... and almost immediately I was able to turn to the left with little to no pain... and my back issues were almost completely resolved within a few sessions... and now I'm doing deep tissue work once a week--as maintenance... and plan doing it forever. I'm SO much more comfortable not only on the BIKE... but I'm running again--which I had stopped doing for the past few years due to chronic low back pain / tightness. And I just feel lighter / looser / happier / more comfortable IN GENERAL. Our bodies are SO interconnected that you never really know the source of your issues are... until you massage pretty much everything. :)

I wrecked a 2007 tarmac in 2022, picked up a 2013 roubaix after a break in late 2023. It’s the rider, not the bike. More tech on a bike is more to break and maintain.

I've tried to learn to look back without swerving, but I just can't get it. I have a hard time turning my head enough to get a clear picture. I prefer to use a mirror. It's easy. I can set it up so that I can see behind me clearly without having to move my head at all. I check my six every three seconds, and I always know what cars are doing, whether they are passing safely or trying to buzz me. I still turn my head enough to let drivers know I'm aware of them.
